Design property Grumpy Old Gits will be featured on 10 different gift card designs for Father’s Day, June 17. The cards will be featured in the Father’s Day promotion at U.K. supermarket chain Tesco, which will include floor displays in 694 stores across the country.
The brand, which combines pictures of bad-tempered senior men with pithy captions, is targeted to gift buyers for men of all ages.
JELC also announced that seaside postcard brand, the Bamforth Vintage Collection, has signed new licensees in the gifting category–Signature Gifts and Big Events U.K.
Signature Gifts will bring Bamforth words and images to books, calendars, diaries, posters, mugs, t-shirts, spoof magazine covers and postcards. Each Bamforth caption or word balloon will be adapted to include customer-requested names for personalized gifting. The range will be in early July at leading mail-order and
Big Events U.K. is planning a range of Bamforth-illustrated gifts for launch in August. The range will include pin badges, cufflinks, t-shirts, money clips, business card holders, key rings, hip flasks and lighters. Although the emphasis is on male gifting, the offering will also include a selection of handbag mirrors and carrier bags.
