Formula 1 and Electronic Arts have announced “F1 24” will launch May 31. The game will have multiple new features, including EA Sports Dynamic Handling, circuit enhancements and a revamped Career mode.

The new Dynamic Handling feature was developed with insight from reigning Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen. It will enhance players’ gaming experience with precision control, redefining the feel of the car and producing the most realistic and predictable performance in F1 gaming history across both wheel and controller.

Iconic venues from the Formula 1 calendar, including Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, Lusail International Circuit and Jeddah Corniche Circuit, have seen further enhancements for the new release, ensuring players experience the authentic circuit to bring F1 to life in their home.

“F1 24” will also see an overhaul of the popular Career mode; players can choose from one of the 20 drivers from the 2024 F1 season, an up-and-coming competitor in F2, a legendary icon or create their own character as they compete for World Championship glory.

Real-life driver audio from F1 broadcasts will also be included in this year’s game, providing a new dimension as drivers react to on-track incidents, and a new broadcast presentation package and cutscenes to add to the race day immersion.

The multiplayer game mode F1 World will also return to “F1 24” for its second season. Players use their favorite team and driver over the course of a Podium Pass season, competing in a time-limited league that involves reaching collaborative goals while battling against rival teams.

“Every year, we want to enhance our fans’ gaming experience by working with EA Sports to deliver the best F1 racing game ever, and I am excited to see ‘F1 24’ release next month,” says Collette Gangemi, director, licensing, gaming, Formula 1. “With exciting new additions such as Dynamic Handling and the revamped Career mode, ‘F1 24’ has taken another step forward and offers our fans an immersive experience, truly bringing the speed, excitement and thrill of racing into their homes.”

“The new handling model, powered by EA Sports Dynamic Handling will enable players to get maximum performance from their car, with authentic physics giving them the confidence in racing wheel-to-wheel with their rivals,” says Lee Mather, senior creative director, Codemasters. “Our biggest Career innovation since 2016 delivers more of what our players want with greater variety away from the track. Alongside new handling and Career innovations, updated circuits, new audio and a refreshed broadcast presentation give players the feeling of being closer to the grid.”

“F1 24” will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store and Steam.
