Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
($135.6 million). The sequel earned $10.2 million at 2-D IMAX cinema beating out
Star Trek's
$8.5 million opening on the same weekend last year.
Internationally,
Iron Man 2
has already earned $194 million. The film opened during the last weekend of April throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Latin America. It premieres June 11 in Japan.
