Henson Signs for Multiple Properties

The Jim Henson Company finalized deals with new international licensees for a slate of properties, including Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth and Skatelab.

Additional Dinosaur Train licenses include Belltex for home goods and accessories for France and French speaking Benelux; and with TV Mania for branded apparel in France and French speaking Europe. For Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, the Company has signed with Nelostuote Oy for games; and for Norway with publisher Cappelen Damm for audio books and story books.

Across Latin America, new licensees in Brazil include Art Bag Rio Comércio for backpacks, lunch boxes, pencil cases, and key chains; Editora Fundamento

for story books; Emporium de Ideias for stickers and albums, activity and coloring books; G Baby for apparel; and Alphafestas for party goods. In Argentina, the Company has signed with Daysal for lunch boxes and lunch sets; and Editorial Atlantida, for storybooks as well as activity, coloring and sticker books and magazines, which include Uruguay and Paraguay.

In Australia and New Zealand, Crown and Andrews has been granted the license for Dinosaur Train board games and jigsaw puzzles.

For Sid the Science Kid, Jim Henson Company signed new publishing licenses with Actes Sud and SDP–Le Livre Club for France, Belgium and Switzerland; Editorial Vertice for Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Peru; and a party goods license with Party Express for Chile. In Brazil, Editora Fundamento was signed for Publishing. In Korea, Cake was also brought on for publishing.

For Fraggle Rock, new licensees include FIPO Group for apparel in the Nordic region; Smart Marketing Promocional in Spain for housewares; Loud Clothing and J Fox Limited for apparel in the U.. and Ireland; and Somerbond Limited for accessories, also in the U.K. The Jim Henson Company has also partnered with new licensing agents for brand representation outside the U.S., including Alphanim in France, Segal Licensing in Canada and Carmen Ariza in for all of Europe excluding France, the U.K. and the Nordic Region.
