

Illumination Entertainment, the company behind Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is teaming up with Universal to adapt the Clifford the Big Red Dog book series into a film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be a live action-animated hybrid based on the book series from author and illustrator Norman Bridwell, which will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year.

Chris Meledandri will produce for Illumination Entertainment with Deborah Forte producing for Scholastic Media. Maradith Frenkel will oversee the project for Universal.
