Birmingham, U.K. is hosting a “Peaky Blinders“ festival that will feature theater events, live music and fashion inspired by the series.
The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival will bring together the show’s creator, stars and its home city to create an immersive event for fans. It will include five stages of music, live recreations of “Peaky Blinders” scenes involving 200 actors and fashion shows. Set in the historic streets of Birmingham, the event will also employ lighting, sound, smoke, video mapping and special effects to recreate the post-World War I era of the show.
“The legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival is a brand-new concept which starts in Digbeth, Birmingham, the authentic birthplace of the ‘Peaky Blinders,’” says John Empson, festival director and founder. “Something totally fresh in the festival market, the show will merge cinema, live music, immersive theater, ballet, bespoke food and drink, spoken word, pop-up performances, collaborations, exclusive previews, appearances from cast members and world class special guests.”
The festival marks another live event for the “Peaky Blinders” brand. Earlier this year, the series hosted a special all-day event at the Newmarket race track.
