Tailored Brands Sews Up New Executive Chairman

"I'd like to personally thank and acknowledge [chief executive officer] Doug Ewert for his more than two decades of leadership and dedication,” says Lathi. “At this important time for Tailored Brands, I am honored to take on the role of Executive Chairman and look forward to working closely with the Board and management team. Our leading market position is the result of our employees' focus on delighting the customer. As Executive Chairman, I'll be focused on creating shareholder value by ensuring our employees are empowered and equipped to win customers in a rapidly evolving landscape,”

Lathi became a member of the Tailored Brands Board of Directors in March 2017 and was made non-executive chairman in March 2017. He also holds a position as a member of the Board of Directors at Five Below. Previously, Lathi served as the chief executive officer of One Kings Lane and filled other executive roles at eBay.

The news follows Doug Ewert’s announcement that he will retire as both chief executive

officer and board member, effective Sept. 30.

Bruce Thorn has also resigned as president and chief operating officer of the company, effective Aug. 31.

Ewert will serve as a strategic director until the end of the year.
