‘Make it So’: Wines that Rock Unveils ‘Star Trek’ Wines 2

Winemaker Wines that Rock has partnered with CBS Consumer Products to develop a line of “Star Trek”-themed wines.

The line includes a red blend, the Chateau Picard Cru Bourgeois, and a Zinfandel, the Special Reserve United Federation of Planets. Both bottles in the collection are available exclusively at StarTrekWines.com.

Chateau Picard Cru Bourgeois is inspired by the fictional vineyard owned by Star Trek Captain Jean-Luc Picard from the series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Star Trek: Picard.” The latter is scheduled to debut in early 2020 exclusively on CBS All Access in the U.S.

Chateau Picard is also the name of an award-winning, multi-generational vineyard in the Bordeaux region of France. Wines that Rock has teamed with the real Chateau Picard vineyard to introduce the line of 2016 vintage wine.

The United Federation of Planets wine is a 2017 vintage from Sonoma County, Calif. It is a blend of 87 percent Zinfandel, 12 percent Petit Sirah and 1 percent Syrah.

"Our goal has been

to produce small-batch, limited-edition, collectible wines that we as fans want to own," says Howard Jackowitz, president, Wines That Rock. "This is what we are all about–creating a product that is genuine with a great story behind it."
