Brand Sense Partners has launched a new intellectual property assets acquisition arm through an investment of $150 million.

BSP currently owns the Shabby Chic home décor IP and is in talks with international retailers to develop direct-to-retail programs. The property already has two licensees, which have furniture lines available now in the U.S., as well as stationery and fabrics. The brand has also re-established a retail presence in Los Angeles, New York and London.

Meanwhile, BSP is readying an IP of its own, a menswear line called Penny Stock. Pieces will be available this summer at Urban Outfitters and other high-end boutiques in the U.S. and internationally.

The brand management firm recently rolled out a new logo. BSP licensing clients include TV series “Mad Men,” healthy heart brand Smart Balance and premium housewares retailer Sur La Table.
