Penguin Random House to Launch Publishing Program for ‘Wednesday’
Penguin Random House will collaborate with Amazon MGM Studios on a new worldwide publishing program for “Wednesday,” a series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, produced by MGM Television and based on Wednesday Addams of the “Addams Family” created by Charles Addams.
The program will launch in July and will include a variety of titles for children, teens and adult readers, including an all-ages coloring book, Little Golden Book, Nightshade Society journal, “Wednesday” young adult novelization and a “Wednesday” cookbook.
“It’s almost terrifying how monstrously popular Wednesday Addams has become since the series launch on Netflix,” says Christopher Angelilli, vice president, editor-in-chief, director of licensed publishing, Random House Children’s Books. “Penguin Random House couldn’t be more thrilled to embark on a worldwide publishing collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios to celebrate the beloved antiheroine. Our eclectic program includes something for readers of all ages – from a Little Golden Book to cookbooks to tarot cards – and offers fans of the series new ways to enjoy their favorite show during the wait between seasons.”
