Bang on the Door has appointed P&L Global to represent their brands in Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Columbia, Peru and Chile. In addition, licensing deals have been signed in the U.K. and Benelux.
"Brazil has performed extremely well for us over the last four years under licensing agent ITC and they introduced us to P&L Global who will be instrumental in extending our Latin American reach into these new territories," says Karen Duncan, managing director of Bang on the Door. "If we can replicate the success we have enjoyed in Brazil in these new territories, then the next few years promise to be hugely exciting. We have many ranges in development globally, FABric Animals is really hitting its stride and this new agency deal promises to make next year, our 25th anniversary, highly anticipated."
Meanwhile, Bang on the Door has signed a number of new deals. In the U.K., Cotton Crosses will develop cross-stitched characters, bringing the Bang on the Door brand back to the cross-stitch category after three and a half years. Shreds will produce children's backpacks, bags, tabards and aprons using the FABric Animals for 2011 and Personalised Memento Co. is to produce engraved and embroidered gifts, decorated glass, candles and ceramic products. In Benelux, The Cookie Company has signed for an extensive range of FABric Animals children's apparel and accessories for distribution across the region in 2011.
