The How to Cake It x American Girl relationship was facilitated by The Brand Liaison, the licensing agent for How to Cake It.
“How To Cake It is always looking for new ways to provide real value to our customers in the form of inspiration, education, entertainment and support through the intersection of content, consumer products and live, community-building experiences,” says Connie Contardi, cofounder and co-chief executive officer. “Our brand mission is fully aligned with American Girl so this collaboration is a truly authentic partnership which will bring happiness and joy to our communities.”
On June 6 at 1PM EST and streaming in a private, password-protected Zoom group, How To Cake It will bring parents, birthday girls and boys and their American Girl dolls together in one
“We may be social distancing, but birthdays are not cancelled,” says Yolanda Gampp, star of YouTube’s “How To Cake It.” “Fun is not cancelled. Cake is not cancelled. And celebrating together – online – is not cancelled! So many of our followers have messaged us saying they are not able to celebrate family birthdays like they typically would. So, we teamed up with our friends at American Girl to launch virtual birthday parties and fill the void.”
The virtual birthday event will celebrate all May and June birthdays and is free to attendees. The online party will include various giveaways during the livestream, including American Girl dolls, accessories and books, plus How To Cake It T-shirts, doughnut scrunchies and a virtual goodie bag delivered to every guest by email after the event.
“For years, American Girl fans have enjoyed the ultimate birthday experience at our popular retail stores,” says Jamie Cygielman, general manager, American Girl. “Today, we’re thrilled to join How To Cake It and bring the magic of an American Girl party to life virtually. It’s an extra sweet way to help our fans celebrate their special day with family and friends that’s innovative and fun.”
