For the first time, Toys"R"Us has teamed up with UNICEF to celebrate the charity's 60th anniversary of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us stores will serve as locations for families to obtain the iconic collection boxes.
Store locations are also accepting monetary donations nationwide, as well as at Toysrus.com/unicef. The collection boxes will be available in stores until Oct. 30.
"We are pleased to partner with the U.S. fund for UNICEF to empower kids in the United States to help other children in need around the world," says Jerry Storch, chairman and chief executive officer of Toys"R"Us. "Many of our employees, myself included, fondly remember this program from our own childhood, and we are proud to help Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF connect a new generation of parents and kids to an initiative that has been delivering lifesaving programs to children globally for 60 years."
TRU is the first national partner in the history of the U.S. fund for UNICEF to offer a fully-integrated customer fundraising campaign for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.
