SMC Entertainment Group has promoted Pamela Harris to executive director of licensing and appointed Sharon Eisen Leviton as senior vice president of business development.
Harris, who has served as director of licensing since she joined SMC in January, will continue to seek new licensing partners for The Jungle Book in addition to the company’s other slate of properties, which include Ladybug Girl, H20 Just Add Water and Dance Academy. In her new role, Harris will have expanded responsibilities in the continued development and management of key licensing relationships across all SMC’s brands.
“This is an exciting time to be part of the SMC team,” says Harris. “We were thrilled with the reception our brands received at the International Licensing Expo. We had an overwhelming response from the licensing and merchandising community to our loveable brand The Jungle Book, and look forward to expanding our existing list of licensees by developing new creative partnerships in a broad range of additional categories.”
In her new role as SVP of business development, Leviton will be responsible for the company’s new business development initiatives and will oversee all marketing, PR, social media and brand strategy programs. She has more than 20 years of marketing experience and previously holding executive positions at Walt Disney Company, Where’s Waldo? and Kidthing Digital Platform.
“Both Sharon and Pamela bring over 40 years of experience to SMC and are invaluable to the continued development of strategic promotional opportunities for our flagship property The Jungle Book, a new 3D CGI-animated TV series, airing on Disney XD,” says Rami Ben-Moshe, president, SMC Entertainment Group.
