Former Nelvana Enterprises executive Mark Northwood was recently named co-chief executive officer and president of Earth Rangers, a charitable organization to teach kids about wildlife and the environment.

Northwood will be responsible for building the Earth Rangers' brand, as well as the Bring Back the Wild program. He will work alongside Peter Kendall, co-chief executive officer and executive director. Northwood joins the organization from Corus Entertainment's Nelvana Enterprises, where he managed the worldwide licensing businesses for Bakugan, Beyblade, Babar and Max and Ruby. He has also worked at Disney, Thinkway Toys and Hasbro.

Earth Rangers was founded in 2001 and is based in Toronto, Canada. The organization presents live school shows and has a studio at the Royal Ontario Museum. Websites support the programs at EarthRangers.com and BringBacktheWild.com.
