The British Toy and Hobby Association’s Toy Fair kicked off yesterday in London, celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Here are some highlights from the first day, which included product announcements from Scholastic and Annoying Orange.

Clifford, Magic School Bus Get Science Kits

The Young Scientists Club is launching two new sets of science kits for kids under license from Scholastic featuring Clifford The Big Red Dog and The Magic School Bus.

Clifford will teach kids about the science behind bubbles, rainbows and cooking in three new kits, while the Magic School Bus line includes two new kits focusing on weather and nature.

All five kids will launch at retail this March.

Underground Toys Fetes Annoying Orange Toys

Underground Toys celebrated the launch of the Annoying Orange toy range yesterday at the London Toy Fair with orange-themed events at its stand, including a bicycle that squeezes orange juice.

Underground toys is the exclusive distribution for the Bridge Direct toy range in the U.K. and

Ireland. The range includes key ring-style clip-ons, plush and fruit-size collectibles.
