Endemol has announced a re-organization of its commercial and global brands business that will see the creation of a group-wide commercial board of senior Endemol executives from around the world take the place of the current Endemol Worldwide Brands division.

The news follows Friday’s announcement that current EWB chief executive officer Olivier Gers is stepping down.

The new commercial board will be lead by Lucas Church, who will also continue in his current role as chief executive officer of Endemol U.K.

The re-organization is designed to better mirror Endemol’s creative structure and more closely integrate the company’s commercial and creative activities, giving greater control to the group’s local operations around the world.

“Our aim with these changes is to continue expanding our day-to-day commercial business locally whilst sharing ideas across the group about the big opportunities for Endemol in today’s fast-changing global market,” says Tim Hincks, president, Endemol Group.

EWB executives based in Endemol’s offices around the world will now report directly to local managing directors in each territory while working closely with the board’s executive director, who will coordinate Endemol’s commercial teams around the world.

Additional appointments to the Group Commercial Board are expected to be made shortly.
