CGI animation "The Pinky and Perky Show" is due to screen across the BBC over Christmas with a special festive helping in the 10 a.m. slot on BBC One on Christmas Day. The showing will be in addition to four other airdates on CBBC over the Christmas holiday.
"'The Pinky and Perky Show' has been a huge hit already, and this has been reflected in a surge of interest from potential licensees—the brand presents a fantastic merchandising opportunity, and I anticipate plenty of activity in the near future," says Mark Hurry, legal and commercial director at PPC Enterprises, which holds M&L rights in the brand.
Deals signed include a Nintendo DS game set to hit the shops at spring 2009 and Martin Yaffe International for toys targeting boys' ages 5 to 9.
