This year's Brand Licensing Europe expo saw a 22 percent increase in retail visitors over last year, making it the biggest event in the show’s 13-year history.
A total of 5,610 retailers, licensees and sales promotion professionals filled London's Olympia Hall for the event held October 18-20, according to Advanstar Licensing (pending final audit).
Exhibitor numbers increased as well, with 252 exhibitors showcasing over 2,200 of the hottest properties. In addition, the show attracted more overseas visitors than ever before.
In its second year as a three-day event, the show drew 25 percent of its total visitors on the third day.
More than 150 exhibitors have already signed up to exhibit next year, according to Advanstar Licensing, and 72 percent of the floor space has already been sold.
"Brand Licensing Europe 2011 has exceeded all of our expectations to become the biggest and most well attended event in its 13 year history," says Jessica Blue, event director, Brand Licensing Europe. "The show has received exceptional coverage in the media, for the second year running, from the likes of BBC, Sky News, The Telegraph and Radio Times. The biggest successes, however, took place on the stands themselves, with exhibitors seeing new licensees and retailers from across the U.K. and Europe that they had not previously had the opportunity to meet with before.”
Brand Licensing Europe 2012 will take place Oct. 16-18 at Olympia, London. For more information, please visit http://brandlicensingeurope.eu
