The tech-infused brand will interconnect the TV show, toys and mobile game for a “truly connected play experience.”

When consumers watch the new show, it will sync with the “Zak Storm Super Pirate” mobile game, which will feature battles and adventures that mimic the real-time scenes in the show. While not watching the show, players will take on the role of Zak as he assembles his crew, explores the seas and confronts Skullivar’s minions in battle. Players will also receive digital game rewards when they sync their game with the real-time TV show.

ZAG has also teamed up with Bandai America to launch a range of toys for the brand. Highlights from the line include a collectible treasure pack, action figures, swords, play sets, vehicles and more. Furthermore, each toy will come with a collectible treasure, which features a QR code that kids can scan to receive additional weapons, powers, worlds, strength, health and

more within the mobile game.

Bandai America’s toy line is now available exclusively on Amazon in the U.S. for the month of November.

“Bandai America’s ‘Zak Storm–Super Pirate’ product line is a tremendous asset in conveying the distinct attributes of this new ‘must have’ global boys brand for digital natives and savvy kids everywhere,” says Andre Lake Mayer, president, global brand strategy and consumer products, ZAG. “Kids will want to experience this bold new adventure series through interactive play, role playing and more, and it opens the door for other licensed consumer products, promotions and sponsorships to extend the opportunities for kids to engage with the brand.”

“Zak Storm–Super Pirate” follows the adventures of Zak Storm, a typical kid who is swept into the Bermuda Triangle while trying to win a surfing competition. After discovering an enchanted talking sword, Zak is magically transformed into a super pirate hero. Committed to serving as the captain of a high-tech, living ship, called The Chaos, Zak encounters the Triangle’s seven mysterious seas while battling villains and creatures with the help of his crew.

The series is now available on through a variety of broadcasters in territories spanning the U.S., U.K., France, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. The show is also slated to debut this holiday season and early next year in Germany, Finland, Portugal, Belgium and Israel, among other countries.
