When consumers watch the new show, it will sync with the “Zak Storm Super Pirate” mobile game, which will feature battles and adventures that mimic the real-time scenes in the show. While not watching the show, players will take on the role of Zak as he assembles his crew, explores the seas and confronts Skullivar’s minions in battle. Players will also receive digital game rewards when they sync their game with the real-time TV show.
ZAG has also teamed up with Bandai America to launch a range of toys for the brand. Highlights from the line include a collectible treasure pack, action figures, swords, play sets, vehicles and more. “Zak Storm–Super Pirate” follows the adventures of Zak Storm, a typical kid who is swept into the Bermuda Triangle while trying to win a surfing competition. After discovering an enchanted talking sword, Zak is magically transformed into a super pirate hero. Committed to serving as the captain of a high-tech, living ship, called The Chaos, Zak encounters the Triangle’s seven mysterious seas while battling villains and creatures with the help of his crew.
The series is now available on through a variety of broadcasters in territories spanning the U.S., U.K., France, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. The show is also slated to debut this holiday season and early next year in Germany, Finland, Portugal, Belgium and Israel, among other countries.
