MIP: Studio 100 Picks Up Two Live Action Series

“Drop Dead Weird” and “Random and Whacky” will be distributed by Studio 100.

“Drop Dead Weird” is a comedy series that follows the antics of an Australian family who have moved to Ireland to run their family B&B in a remote seaside village. However, things are slightly more complicated when both parents become zombified, requiring the kids to navigate through a new town, school and surrounding while harboring the secret that their parents are zombies. The series premiered in September 2017 on RTE2 in Ireland and will launch on 7TWO and KidsOn7 in Australia this month.

“Random and Whacky” follows a top-secret agency that solves the problems faced by real life kids. A team of super agents provides advice to kids that no one would ever hear from a parent or teacher. Their solutions may not work, but they are always hilarious. The series premiered on Australia’s Channel 11 in summer 2017.

Both series are also currently in development

for second seasons, which are set for delivery in 2019.
