Jakks Plans Power Rangers Game System

Saban Brands has tapped Jakks Pacific to develop a new gaming system for the brand Power Rangers and has renewed its costume partnership.

Jakks will launch the new Hero Portal plug-and-play TV gaming system for the Power Rangers brand this fall.

As previously announced, Saban has also renewed its contract with Jakks’ costume division, Disguise, for Power Rangers costumes in North America. The company is now developing a line based on the brand’s new series “Super Megaforce” that will launch this fall for both kids and adults. 

“Saban has been a valued partner for more than two decades, and we look forward to continuing that relationship and expanding upon our already successful product lines, which include 31-inch figures and costumes that bring to life the Power Rangers legacy,” says Jack McGrath, chief operating officer, Jakks Pacific. “We are launching exciting new costumes

for Halloween 2014, including a new Power Rangers Super Megaforce line. In our interactive division, our innovative new Hero Portal gaming system will launch this fall, elevating the brand and giving Power Rangers fans even more of what they love.”
