ITV Looking to Experiential to Build ‘Thunderbirds’

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has revealed a slate of experiential and direct-to-consumer deals for its children’s property “Thunderbirds Are Go.”

First, Paragon Creative, a design development and build company, is on board for guest-centric, themed attractions and experiences.

Meanwhile, ride system developer Immersive Rides had signed on to develop a dark ride system for a “Thunderbirds Are Go” attraction. The Immersive Rides system will incorporate innovative mapping technology and will offer thrill-seekers seven customizable ride options, a pre-ride show and the chance to play as one of the series’ characters.

“Direct-to-consumer is a key component of ITVS GE’s strategy and we are very excited to welcome on board two important players in this category,” says Trudi Hayward, senior vice president and global head, merchandise, ITVS GE. “‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ lends itself perfectly to experiential family activities and we look forward to seeing these in action.”

ITV Studios is also set to announce additional deals in the coming months.
