eOne Takes Peppa to the Next Level

Entertainment One Family is growing the Peppa Pig family with five new licensing agreements and a number of line extensions in the toy, book and DVD categories.

Based on the hit animated television series “Peppa Pig,” the new licensing deals represent the brand’s first partnerships in several key product categories, including: games and puzzles; backpacks and lunch kits; novelty gear; health, beauty and accessories; and magazine publishing.

“We know that Peppa Pig fans are always on the lookout for new character-themed products, and we are excited to offer consumers an even wider assortment of new toys, gear and activities,” says Joan Grasso, vice president, licensing, North America, Entertainment One Family. “We are thrilled to have established new licensing partnerships with so many top industry leaders and hope our fans enjoy interacting with Peppa in these new and exciting formats.”

New 2013 Peppa Pig licensing deals and extensions include:

  • Publishing: Redan Publishing is launching a dedicated Peppa-Pig interactive magazine for children ages 3 to 8, including Peppa Pig-themed games, stories and activities, expected to hit retail in July. Also, Scholastic and Candlewick Press are extending their line of board, softcover and hardcover books set for release this year.
    • Toys and games: TCG is planning a new line of Peppa Pig games and puzzles for preschoolers, available in August, and Underground Toys is producing an assortment of collectible gear for fans of all ages, set for October. Fisher-Price will also launch new toys this fall.
      • Health, beauty and accessories: Added Extras is producing a line of hair accessories, bath and hair products, lip balm and costume jewelry for girls age 2 to 6 that is expected to hit retail in spring 2014. Additionally, Fast Forward will release Peppa Pig backpacks and lunch kits for children in May 2014.
