What to Expect at This Year's Comic-Con

The city of San Diego, Calif., will become the epicenter of pop culture from July 19-22, as it hosts thousands of fans, comic enthusiasts and arts-driven brands, as Comic-Con International celebrates its 49th anniversary this year.

As the crowd begins to descend, a variety of entertainment brands have announced exclusive content and offerings for Comic-Con, in attempt to create excitement ahead of the show.

Turner’s Adult Swim has teamed up with Symbiote Studios for plush and Ripple Junction for t-shirts inspired by “Pocket Morty’s," a video game based on the television series “Rick and Morty.”

Symbiote will debut its “Morty of the Month” plush line at Comic-Con with the release of two exclusive plush—Super Rick Fan Morty, a figure with a hat and mini Rick plush and Two Cat Morty, a figure with a scratched face and two cats.

Each plush will be available at the Symbiote Studios and for pre-order at Shop.SymbioteStudios.com.

Factory Entertainment has unveiled ten pieces of exclusive merchandise

from its licensing partners.

The Wonder Woman God Killer Sword Pop replica of Wonder Woman’s famous sword;

CBS Consumer Products has paired with the Silver Screen Bottling Company for a new range of “Star Trek”-branded spirits.

The “Star Trek” brand bourbon, dubbed James T. Kirk Straight Bourbon Whiskey, features barrel selections that have been aged between four and 12 years, with notes of caramel, Asian five spice and pecan. The bottle will be featured at Comic-Con and is available for purchase at JamesTKirkBourbon.com.
