The current executive vice president of scripted development, Peter Johnson, has extended his contract through 2017 and will report to Whitney.

In the newly created role, Whitney will oversee the continued expansion of Legendary’s television studio.

Prior to joining Legendary, was a TV agent since 1998, first at The William Morris Agency and then at WME.

Legendary’s Television & Digital Media division was launched in 2013 with the addition of Bruce Rosenblum from the Warner Bros. Television Group.

The group currently has two series in pre-production–"Colony," a co-production with Universal Cable Productions that was recently picked up by USA Network, and a two-season order for the Netflix original series, "LOVE." Legendary Television also recently announced the development of "Carnival Row," a project from Guillermo del Toro and Rene Echevarria for Amazon.
