
Merchandise arrives at retail in advance of new
Star Wars
film, which will hit theaters Dec. 14.

In the U.S. Toys 'R' Us held midnight celebration events at stores across the country. The retailer also unveiled its exclusive assortment of new
Rogue One
and
Star Wars
products, which arrive in stores this November.
At the same time, creators from across Disney's Maker Studios network celebrated the product launch by kicking off a global fan content contest. Creators across gaming, lifestyle, comedy and family channels will post #GoRogue videos calling for
Star Wars
fans to get creative and share their own ‘Rogue Stories’ as part of a fan contest centered on the new movie, which will arrive in theaters worldwide beginning Dec. 14.
Fans can enter the content contest by uploading their short video stories or skits set in a galaxy far, far away. A panel of judges, including
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
director Gareth Edwards, will choose the winning video. Winners will be invited to an advance screening of “Rogue One” at Lucasfilm in San Francisco to see their story on the big screen.

To further celebrate the retail set date of
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
toys, collectibles, apparel and more, all North American Disney Store locations opened for business Friday with
Star Wars
-themed opening ceremonies, offering a galactic twist on the traditional “Unlocking Imagination” ritual.
