eOne Builds Ben and Holly in U.K.

Entertainment One Licensing’s preschool series “Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom” is gathering momentum in the U.K. following its re-launch this summer.

eOne is now planning a number of new marketing initiatives for 2015 on the heels of the a brand-new toy line from Character Options and a TV advertising campaign that was supported by retailer promotions earlier this year.

Initiatives to support the brand next year include continued promotions on both Nick Jr. and Milkshake throughout the year as well as an enhanced digital presence that will include a new website at BenandHolly.tv, new app and downloads. eOne is also planning a  number of themed experiential activities at shopping centers and festivals.

Specific plans include:

·      A second wave toy launch that will include games, puzzles, electronic learning aids, role play items, apparel and accessories that will rollout in fall 2015. The lines will feature new brand assets that will be delivered throughout the year;

·      A “Ben and Holly’s

Little Kingdom” stage show will begin touring in March 2015. (eOne says that pre-order ticket sales have increased by 47 percent in comparison to the 2012 tour);

·      Additional book titles, magazine and DVD releases are planned for throughout the year; and

·      A new charity partnership with I Can will include a Ben and Holly-branded Chatterbox Challenge in March 2015.

"We are incredibly pleased with the strength of the re-brand for Ben and Holly and the fantastic new toy range from Character Options, which has been a resounding success both at retail and with consumers,” says Hannah Mungo, head of U.K. licensing, eOne. “We’re excited to be rolling out secondary categories in the new branding next year to build on the success of the toy range and will be working very closely with retailers on activity.”
