Despite the conclusion of events for Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary, licensees in Australia and New Zealand are continuing the celebration right into the holiday season with a host of new offerings.
In response to consumer demand, the Wand Company has released a Tenth Doctor Sonic Screwdriver universal remote control, a gesture-based remote control; the Australia Post has released a stamp pack featuring all of the Doctors and a selection of monsters; and The New Zealand Mint has struck a set of silver coins for collectors that feature a colored image of all 11 Doctors.
A range of men’s apparel is still on shelf including Jay Jays’ Eleventh Doctor t-shirt and the TARDIS costume dress from Ikon Collectables.
For the home, Caprice has released a range of Doctor Who TARDIS cushions and BBC Worldwide is featuring a Doctor Who espresso box crockery set complete with matching saucers.
Other products available include the 50th anniversary collectors’ edition trading cards from Banter Toys, a 2014 planner with images from Mallon, a limited edition box set of prints from Impact Posters and the Doctor Who Trivial Pursuit game.
Products are available at a range of retailers including the Doctor Who e-commerce site DoctorWho50Store.com.au, the Doctor Who pop-up shop in Penrith, ABC shops, the New Zealand Mint and Jay Jays.
