Mattel has expanded its licensed “Thomas & Friends” lineup with three ranges across babywear, baby products and bedding in the U.K.

Mattel Expands ‘Thomas’ Baby Line

‘Thomas & Friends’ range will include baby apparel, bedding, gifts and more.

First, Brecrest and Blues have created a line of babywear featuring “Thomas” motifs and prints. The new line includes overalls, bodysuits, pajamas, a t-shirt, bibs and sleepsuits.

The new range will be available exclusively at Tesco this month and will launch at other retailers in September.

Rainbow Designs has produced a new range of baby products and gifts featuring the blue engine. The collection of developmental and activity toys will feature a tummy time activity playmat, comfort blanket, chime ball, activity cube and a plush My First Thomas. The range is slated to launch this summer.

Brecrest will also produce a branded bedding range that includes a sleeping bag, cot duvet and a hooded towel. The bedding range will be available across the U.K. this September.

“This is an exciting time for ‘Thomas & Friends’ as this is the first time we have launched collections

aimed at babies and infants,” says Simon Price, director, licensing, CNE consumer products, Mattel U.K. “The three new categories will further strengthen the brand while expanding its licensed range.”
