Jazzercise Heads to Schools

Fitness brand to host dance parties for kids around the world.

Jazzercise is bringing its Kids Get Fit free community outreach program to schools around the world in an effort to help children understand the benefits of regular exercise.

Established in 1991, the Kids Get Fit program features dance parties led by certified Jazzercise instructors during recess, assembly or P.E. periods for all grade levels. The events combine high-energy music with easy-to-follow dance moves and interactive fitness games designed for school-aged children.

"Helping others lead stronger, healthier lives is our mission and our passion," says Judi Sheppard Missett, founder and chief executive officer, Jazzercise. "We're excited to be able to act locally to fight childhood obesity by helping schools inspire children to get moving."
