DLT Entertainment, the television production company behind the celebrated sitcom, “Three’s Company,” and its spinoff, “The Ropers,” has announced a new partnership with Perpetual Licensing. This appointment entrusts Perpetual Licensing with exclusive rights to develop a comprehensive brand licensing program for both programs across North America.

“Three’s Company,” a five-time Emmy-nominated television sitcom, has been a fixture in American pop culture since its inception. The series, which will mark its 50th anniversary in 2025, is known for its groundbreaking portrayal of three single roommates of different sexes platonically living together in a Santa Monica, Calif., apartment complex. The show’s cast included John Ritter as Jack Tripper, Joyce DeWitt as Janet Wood, Suzanne Somers as Chrissy Snow, Norman Fell and Audra Lindley as Stanley and Helen Roper, respectively and Don Knotts as Mr. Furley.

Since it first aired on ABC in 1976, “Three’s Company” has never gone off the air. Today, viewers can watch the show on digital broadcast, cable and streaming platforms, such as Antenna TV, Logo, AMC and Pluto. Fans can also look forward to a new expanded DVD boxed set from Visual Entertainment Incorporated in February.

The appointment of Perpetual Licensing heralds a new era for the shows. With an emphasis on tapping into both new and nostalgic audiences, the licensing strategy will extend the series’ reach into a diverse range of consumer products. This includes categories such as apparel, collectibles, games, stationery, home goods, publishing and live experiences, offering fans a tangible connection to their favorite characters and moments.

“‘Three’s Company’ is an amazing, laugh-out-loud show that never seems to grow old,” says Don Taffner Jr., president, DLT Entertainment. “We’re very excited about this new collaboration with Perpetual Licensing. With its lovable cast and colorful retro-hip style, ‘Three’s Company’ is a fantastic vehicle for all kinds of fun clothing and merchandise. We’re fans too and can’t wait to expand our collection.”

“We are excited to collaborate with DLT Entertainment on such an iconic piece of American television history,” says David Milch, president, Perpetual Licensing. “Our vision is to craft a merchandise program that not only celebrates the upcoming 50th anniversary of ‘Three’s Company’ but also resonates with both long-time fans and new audiences.”
