Following the tradition of previous games, players will choose one of three special Pokémon to be the first partner before exploring the world around them, discovering new Pokémon and battling other trainers and gym leaders.
In the new games, players will be able to choose between the newly discovered grass- and flying-type Rowlet, fire-type Litten and water-type Popplio.
The Pokémon Company will continue unveil more information and details about the new games throughout the year.
