Disney to Donate $55M in Books, Apps

At the White House Summit on Early Education Wednesday, The Walt Disney Company announced that it will donate $55 million in apps and books through the non-profit social enterprise First Book as part of President Obama’s Invest in Us initiative. Invest in Us challenges to build a better nation through high-quality early childhood programs.

As part of the three-year commitment, Disney will provide $5 million in Disney Imagicademy apps to First Book and other non-profit organizations, and $50 million in books. In addition, Disney will provide $1 million in funding to First Book to help children in need gain access to critical resources.
