The 61st edition of Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) will include a TV/Film Rights Centre, a new business area that will welcome audiovisual producers and enable networking with publishing professionals, for an enhanced book-to-screen proposal.

BCBF, which takes place at BolognaFiere April 8-11, will also include two brand extensions, Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/K) for children’s brands and Bologna Book Plus (BBPlus) for general publishing. Each year, the show brings together professionals in the sector from all over the world.

In this first edition, the TV/Film Rights Centre will have limited slots and will provide several benefits to registered producers, significantly increasing opportunities to promote their TV/film properties in the publishing sector. The project will involve all BCBF publishers, who will receive an information sheet about each registered producer.

Producers will have access to the Bologna Global Rights Exchange service, a digital platform for the copyright business and will be included in the official BCBF catalog. They will also be able to browse the database of publishers and trade visitors registered at the fair.

Members will be able to plan meetings, get help and take part in the organization’s arranged matchmaking activities between publishers and TV and film producers in a special business lounge positioned in the heart of the exhibition halls. Additional facilities are being created and will be announced soon to enhance the matchmaking process between publishers and audiovisual creators.
