Heathcliff Taps Licensing Haüs as Licensing Agency

Under the agreement, Licensing Haüs will extend Heathcliff into several new categories.

Brand licensing agency, Licensing Haüs, has joined forces with Heathcliff Enterprises as the exclusive brand licensing agent for the Heathcliff the Cat and Friends portfolio of characters.

Heathcliff, the iconic orange tabby who stars in his eponymous comic strip, has been entertaining the world since his launch in the ’70s.

Heathcliff will kick off its 50th-anniversary celebration, paving the way for a new Heathcliff era filled with licensing extensions. Heathcliff recently partnered in a series of collaborations, including The Hundreds, BAIT and Sleepy Peach, with plans to bring on more like-minded partners and introduce new products for the character’s fanbase.

“Heathcliff’s universal charm coupled with its deep subculture appeal make him an ideal brand in licensing,” says Peter Gallagher, cartoonist, president, Heathcliff Enterprises. “We’re excited to partner with Licensing Haüs to strategically launch Heathcliff into what we know is a very hungry market for fans just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary.”
