Sporty New Deal Signed for Sims
Collective International, LLC, and The Sports Authority are sporting an
exclusive, five-year master license agreement for Sims. Under the deal, the
retailer will retain exclusive rights in the U.S. to market and sell all
categories of Sims-branded action sports lifestyle products in its more than
400 stores in 45 states. Product categories will include snowboarding and
skateboarding hard goods, snowboarding boots, footwear, apparel, and related
accessories.

Partners Sought for Preschool Series
Scholastic Media launched a licensing and merchandising treatment for Dragon as
it looks to bring the property to market. The new preschool show aired on the
qubo programming block on NBC, Telemundo, and ION's i network in September. The
series, based on the books by Dav Pilkey, follows the humorous exploits of a
blue dragon and his band of friends. A partner in the qubo venture, Scholastic
Media will seek licensees in the following categories: apparel and accessories,
footwear, toys and games, domestics and home furnishings, infant products,
gifts and novelties, interactive and video games, stationery and paper goods,
health and beauty care, food and beverages, promotions, music, home video, and
ELA and ELT.

Duff to Doll Up Barbie Fashion Line
Hilary Duff and Barbie are teaming up under one "design house" to unveil Barbie
Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff fashions and dolls. Duff has designed 11
different head-to-toe outfits under the new label including apparel and
accessories in "sweet" and "rocker" looks that reflect Hilary's personal style.
The Barbie Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff Fashion Fever Dolls include a
variety of styles. The Barbie Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff Fashion Fever
Closets include two fashion closets—Rocker and Sweet—with three
different mix-and-match outfits. The Barbie Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff
Fashion Fever Mannequins include head-to-toe looks for Barbie displayed on a
mannequin body form.

Duo Consider Aligning on Two TV Series
Nickelodeon and DreamWorks Animation are collaborating on a project that
potentially could bring two weekly series to viewers based on DreamWorks
features. One such program is based on upcoming film Kung Fu Panda, while the
other is a spin-off of Madagascar. Kung Fu Panda is due in theaters in May 2008
and features a waiter in a noodle restaurant whose shape doesn't lend itself to
kung fu fighting. Both projects are in the early stages of development.

Casper Scares Up Partners with New Deals
MoonScoop and Classic Media will produce and distribute a new Casper the Friendly
Ghost animated series. India's DQ Entertainment also has come on board as
co-production partner, and the series will be developed with TF1 in France.
Production on the new series (52 x 11-minute episodes) is set to commence in
February 2007. Distribution of the new series will be shared between the
co-production partners.
In other news, Classic Media joins with Compedia on a line of educational
Casper the Friendly Ghost interactive games for the CD-ROM and DVD TV formats.

Ebony Magazine Inspires Greeting Card Line
Johnson Publishing Company, publisher of Ebony magazine, partnered with
American Greetings on a line of greeting cards for the newly developed Ebony
Inspirations brand. The first series of cards will be launched at approximately
900 Wal-Mart stores in celebration of Black History month in February 2007.
Beyond the initial launch, Ebony and American Greetings will continue their
partnership by developing the Ebony Inspirations card line to include cards
inspired by Ebony's positive and uplifting image within the African-American
community. TurnerPatterson brokered the deal.

Warner Bros. Opens First Store in Macau
Warner Bros. Consumer Products; PMW Retail Group Ltd., a subsidiary of
Hutchison Harbour Ring Limited; and Cartoon Matters Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of
Shun Tak Holdings Ltd., celebrated the grand opening of the first Warner Bros.
Studio Store in Macau.
The 300-square-meter store occupies part of the Macau Tower Convention and
Entertainment Center and is operated by Cartoon Matters, which has been granted
the rights to open and operate Warner Bros. Studio Stores in Macau through a
sub-license from PMW.

Duo Launches Youth Writing Contest
America Scores and Starbucks launched a youth writing contest that is being
featured in Starbucks stores nationwide now through November 29. The contest,
along with tips to engage parents in literacy activities with their children,
is part of the promotion surrounding the DVD release of Akeelah and the Bee. In
the film, Akeelah was able to unite her community through the power of words,
changing the world one word at a time. Six prizes will be awarded in two
categories: ages 8 to 10 and ages 11 to 12. The two grand prize-winning entries
of the six will be posted on www.starbucks.com,
and all six winners will receive educational savings bonds in varying amounts,
along with Akeelah and the Bee gift packs.

Trump to Open Holiday Store
Fans of The Donald will be able to pick up some gifts for the holiday at The
Trump Holiday Store located in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
Opening its doors November 1 through December 31, the store will carry a wide
range of products, including Trump's No. 1 selling books, men's sportswear,
golf apparel, dress shirts, ties, cufflinks, small leather goods, belts, and
watches. New product lines, including Trump luggage and jewelry, will be
available, as well as holiday favorites such as toy limousines and the Trump
board game.

Online Initiative Teaches Preschoolers About Potty Training
Animax Entertainment partnered with Sesame Workshop for the first time on
Elmo's Potty Time, an interactive game for the Sesame Workshop Website www.sesameworkshop.org/sesamestreet/games/.
The game teaches preschoolers when to use the bathroom in six different
scenarios and is an online companion to the Elmo's Potty Time DVD.

Stuckey's Links with SloaneVision Unlimited
For the first time in its 70-year history, Stuckey's entered the licensing
arena, naming SloaneVision Unlimited its representative. Known for its pecan
roll, Stuckey's will work with SVU to extend the brand into ice cream and other
frozen desserts, pies, sauces, toppings, and all things pecan flavored,
including coffees, teas, and breakfast foods. The agency also seeks
manufacturers in additional food areas, as well as gifts and collectibles,
apparel and accessories, publishing, and toys and games.

Got Milk's Got Movies
Got Milk? will be pouring it on in theaters next month with a commercial
campaign called "Aliens" headed to 600 movie screens. The campaign marks the
first time Got Milk? creator, the California Milk Processor Board, will run
spots in cinema. The first four "Aliens" spots broke on California television March
13, 2006. The fifth and final spot in the series—"Homecoming"—will
be released for the first time at the campaign's cinematic debut November 17.

United Media Taps CPLG for Two Properties
United Media tapped Copyright Promotions Licensing Group Limited to represent
the Peanuts gang and everyone's favorite workplace hero, Dilbert, in France.
Effective immediately, this alliance is part of United Media's continuing
effort to build its brands globally.
