National Gallery Plans Food Gifts

The National Gallery Company has partnered with Scoop Designs to develop a range of unique food and beverage gifts featuring artwork from the London museum.

Created under the National Gallery Company’s popular Delicious Art sub-brand, the line will launch with a range of food gifts at the end of this year. Among the planned products are chocolate, teas, jams and preserves combined with ceramics, cutlery and gifts in a variety of specialty containers. An expanded range will launch in 2016. The line will be illustrated with iconic images from the National Gallery’s vast collection including works by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet and Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder, among others.

Scoop Designs plans to release to line at a number of U.K. retailers, department stores, garden centers and independent shops, as well as the National Gallery's onsite and online shops.

Independent licensing agency JELC represents the National Gallery Company for licensing.

“The success of Delicious Art has clearly indicated

the massive potential of high-quality food-based gifts associated with the National Gallery brand," says Judith Mather, buying and merchandise director, the National Gallery Company. "We are delighted to be working with Scoop, a respected design and development group, on extending the reach and scale of this range.”
