Koko Rose Media will manage the growing Deer Little Forest brand.
The new U.K.-based company’s main focus will be the management of worldwide rights to Deer Little Forest.
Rose is a Henries Award-nominated illustrator and creator of the growing preschool and lifestyle brand Deer Little Forest, which originated as a successful line of greeting cards sold at Harrods, John Lewis, Paperchase, Liberty’s and Selfridges.
Hryniewicz started representing the brand after first noticing the property at BLE 2013. Since then, Deer Little Forest has rapidly expanded into platforms such as publishing and television, and appointed licensing agents in 13 markets including the U.S., Germany and China.
The decision to incorporate and expand the corporate structure was made in order to accommodate the rapid growth of the property across various industrys, as well as geographically. Hryniewicz and Rose will be co-directors of the 50/50
As creative director, Rose will be responsible for all aspects related to art direction (creation, production and quality control of product development), and as managing director, Hryniewicz will oversee sales and business development.
“Since working with Jo, two things have become very apparent,” says Hryniewicz. “First, that Deer Little Forest is a genuinely unique property that elicits a very strong, positive response, resulting in wonderful business opportunities. And secondly, that it is all due to Jo’s immense talent. I am absolutely thrilled to be formalizing this rewarding and promising partnership.”
“Since meeting at BLE 2013 I knew I wanted to work with Lisa,” says Rose. “The last two years have been such a success that a partnership feels like a natural progression. Lisa has opened opportunities at every turn, and with her business knowledge and incredible eye for detail, I feel like there are no limits for Deer Little Forest."
Koko Rose Media will be attending MIPCOM and exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe next month.
