Agency will secure licensees to create a range of map- and travel-themed products.
Rocket will now leverage the assets of the collection, as well as the sense of adventure, discovery and travel that the maps and the Edward Stanford name encompass, to develop a campaign that will appeal to travel enthusiasts, gift buyers, tourists and more.
The collection will be available for licensing in categories including apparel, accessories, stationery, calendars, home textiles, suitcases, bags, travel games, educational toys, apps, mugs, wallets, toiletry bags, hipflasks and specialist equipment.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with Rocket Licensing, who share our boundless enthusiasm for the brand,” says Tony Maher, managing director, Edward Stanford. “Every map in the Edward Stanford Cartographic Collection has a story to tell, and we are very excited to discover the tales licensees will bring to life with them.”
The initial map- and travel-themedproducts are expected to launch in fall/winter 2017.
“There are very few brands that capture the extraordinary thrill of discovery and adventure in quite the same way as The Edward Stanford Cartographic Collection,” says Charlie Donaldson, joint managing director, Rocket Licensing. “This is a brand whose reputation and historic associations offer licensees a wealth of opportunities that will appeal to consumers young and old–whether actual or armchair adventures.”
