Together the two companies aim to build a stronger presence in the market for branded virtual goods, which are digital items that are sold for use in online and mobile games.
The acquisition enables the sale of Virtual Greats’ hundreds of licensed virtual items from the sports, entertainment, celebrity and fashion brands to a network of game developers that includes Bigpoint, Digital Chocolate and Travian. Among Virtual Greats’ licensees are the Internet meme Domo and certain film titles from Universal Pictures.
