In May, the agency signed on to represent the iconic American music brand Fender and now Beanstalk plans to expand the brand’s licensing footprint in Europe, building on the company’s identity as pioneers of all things music and securing agreements for music-centric products. Potential product categories include apparel, footwear, headwear, eyewear, gifts and collectibles, stationary, consumer electronics and accessories, toys and home décor.

In the food and beverage area, Beanstalk has recently acquired two new clients: Spanish tapas bar and restaurant chain La Tasca, and authentic American style baking brand The Hummingbird Bakery. Beanstalk is looking to extend the La Tasca brand in key food categories inspired by head chef Antony Bennett’s most popular dishes, and will also be looking for licensing partners in non-food classifications

such as cookware, publishing and gift items.

The Hummingbird Bakery has become an authority on American-style baking in the U.K., and Beanstalk is now working to extend the brand into food and non-food categories.

In June, Beanstalk announced the official launch of its new digital division Tinderbox, addressing the market need for a brand licensing agency specializing in extending digital properties.

“This has been a fantastic year for Beanstalk, both in terms of the range of new clients that we are working with, and from a strategic perspective for the business as we start to grow our new digital division, Tinderbox, whose clients include leading tween social network, MovieStarPlanet and entertainment app properties My Singing Monsters, Doodle Jump and The Beetnuks,” says Lisa Reiner, managing director, Beanstalk, Europe and Asia Pacific. “Despite a challenging economic environment, our clients’ programs continue to experience strong demand both at retail and from potential new partners, and we have been very active in securing major licensing agreements around the world in 2013. Having recognized the need for an agency specializing in new media properties, we are looking forward to further developing the programs for our existing digital clients and in securing new properties for representation, starting right here at Brand Licensing Europe.”
