Viz Media has inked a deal with Cartoon Network Enterprises for original graphic novels based on Spin Master and Marathon Media’s Redakai property.
Viz will create and release full-color, original stories for Redakai. The first graphic
novel will be on shelves in October, with the second volume scheduled to drop in February 2013.
The TV series “Redakai” follows the adventures of Team Stax as they race against competitors searching the world for the mystical Kairu energy, the primal power of the universe. “Redakai” launched in July 2011 on Cartoon Network and is geared toward boys, ages 6-12.
