Apex Marketing and Bioworld are the latest licensees signed by Scholastic Media to create product for the kids' adventure series "The 39 Clues."

Apex has been tapped to produce T-shirts for a fall launch. Meanwhile, Bioworld is developing backpacks to be sold exclusively at Borders stores, also this fall. They join The 39 Clues" other licensing partners including University Games, Trends and Mead.

The kids' publishing property has expanded into collectible game cards, an online gaming website (1 million registered users) and a mobile app. In addition, movie rights have been acquired by DreamWorks Studios and Steven Spielberg is being eyed to direct.
