Curiosity to spearhead Denver’s licensing expansion into all product categories.

Grom Social Enterprises – a media, technology and entertainment company created by 12-year-old, Zach Marks – has announced Curiosity Ink Media has been named the exclusive licensing agent for the animated kids’ series, “Denver, The Last Dinosaur,” from St. Louis-based animation and distribution company, WEP.

“The timeless themes and characters of ‘Denver, the Last Dinosaur’ organically lend this hit property to thoughtful licensing opportunities,” says Bob Koplar, president, WEP. “All of us at WEP are ecstatic to partner with the brilliant minds at Curiosity Ink Media to bring Denver to generations of new fans through products that capture the energy, spirit and escapist fun found in every installment of the show.”

The animated series centers around a group of California kids who discover a prehistoric-looking egg that hatches into a real dinosaur the kids name Denver.

Curiosity Ink Media, a company Grom acquired in 2017, and WEP will launch their partnership in June at Licensing Expo 2023, an industry gathering that brings thousands of attendees and brands together to maximize a property’s influence among consumers through products, partnerships, and innovation. For “Denver, The Last Dinosaur,” Curiosity Ink Media and WEP will meet with dozens of potential licensee partners to leverage the series’ broad-based consumer appeal. 

“The success ‘Denver, the Last Dinosaur’ achieved in the late ‘80s and ‘90s, leaves it perfectly positioned for a timely resurgence,” says Jared Wolfson, chief executive officer, Curiosity Ink Media. “At its core, Denver is about wish fulfillment, friendship and fitting in. Licensing Expo, the world’s largest and most-influential event dedicated to licensing and brand extension, is set to take place June 13-15 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
