Inaugural Licensing Expo China Ends on High Note

ASIA–The inaugural Licensing Expo China took place last month at the National Exhibition Convention Center in Shanghai and welcomed over 35,000 global professional visitors as well as more than 80 exhibitors and 230 brands.

The first-ever Licensing Expo China featured a score of exhibitors, educational seminars and an awards ceremony.

The event, which is organized by UBM Licensing–organizer of Licensing Expo, Brand Licensing Europe, Licensing Expo Japan and the NYC Summit as well as publisher of

License Global

–and sponsored by the International Licensing International Merchandisers’ Association was co-located with the Children Baby Maternity Expo (CBME) China, the world’s largest trade fair for baby products and services, and Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai, a trade fair for kids’ fashion.

A selection of brands and companies that exhibited at the show include Mattel, Hasbro, Alpha Animation, Fanta, British Museums, Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Dunhuang Academy, Lamborghini, Budweister, BBC Earth, LPGA, Paul Frank, Pancoat,

Angry Birds

and more.

The show also hosted a variety of licensing seminars, which

covered a score of topics including global licensing trends spanning sports, art, movies, games and more, as well as lifestyle licensing in China. In total, there were 33 speakers across 13 sessions.
