Entertainment One has announced that the preschool animated property, “Ricky Zoom,” is set to launch in Canada with both broadcast and licensing representation.

Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse in Canada will join “Ricky Zoom’s” collection of international broadcasters by launching series one of the programs later this month. Along with the deal, Nelvana has been appointed as the licensing agent for the brand in the region.

“eOne has an unparalleled track record of award-winning preschool properties which is why we’re revved up to add ‘Ricky Zoom’ to the Treehouse schedule and deliver another soon-to-be family favorite to Canadian audiences,” says Daniel Eves, senior vice president, TV networks, Corus Entertainment. “Kids will love this vibrant, action-packed series and parents will love how it is rooted in story-telling and relatable lessons about growing up and helping others.”

The deal sees Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse join other distributors for the series including Nickelodeon in the U.S.
