Silvergate Media’s preschool animated series “Octonauts” has inked new broadcast deals that will bring the series Latin America and the Middle East.

In a deal brokered by Panaderia, Mexico’s TV Azteca acquired the rights to the series, marking the show’s first major launch in Latin America. The show debuted in the region in October 2019. Mexico became the fourth-highest rated global territory for “Los Octonautas” on its YouTube channel in Q4 2019.

The series also has arrived to the Middle East region via a broadcast deal with Spacetoon, a deal brokered by 20too Agency.

“Mexico and the Middle East are key territories in our global brand strategy,” says Ron Allen, executive vice president, commercial. “We are delighted to be working with regional partners of this caliber to grow our fan base, and we’re excited to be planning a wider brand launch for LatAm for 2021.”

Silvergate is also readying to launch the “Octonauts” live stage show, which will include  daily performances at Global Village Dubai.
