Sweden-based Live Brands Factory AB has announced a partnership with Rovio Entertainment to launch a collection of “Angry Birds” soda, ice cream and cake products in the Swedish market, in a deal facilitated by Angry Birds’ global licensing agency, IMG.
The collection will be launched in the upcoming weeks through Dagab, the assortment, purchasing and logistics support company for Swedish food retail giant, Axfood Group. It will be available nationwide in Axfood Group’s retail chains, including Willys, Hemköp, Tempo and City Gross.
The initial launch will include a selection of soft drinks called Red (raspberry), Chuck (pear) and Piggy (watermelon), with the name and appearance of each flavor representing popular “Angry Birds” characters. There will be two new ice cream flavors, Red (orange) and Bomb (cola), which will be sold together in large packs. The launch will also include a chocolate cake, called Angry Birds, which consists of crispy wafers covered in milk chocolate.
