Bluefin Names New Prez

Bluefin Distribution, a U.S. distributor for Japanese toys and collectibles, has appointed John Parker as its new president.

Parker will helm sales and marketing, new product and client development, budgeting and the 2015 move to an expanded distribution office facility in Southern California.

Prior to Bluefin, Parker was the vice president of business development for Diamond Comic Distributors, the central distributor for the English-language comic book industry, where he established the creation of programs for the distribution of pop culture toys and collectibles.

Parker previously spent 12 years as the president of manga pioneer, Tokyopop and has worked in Japan for more than 20 years.
